1- Amputated Memory (ft. Alison O'Donnell: The newest avant-folk outing of The Mañana People finds them tracing the memories of horrible past lives through nebulous layers of guitars. They're being guided through this process by Irish folk icon Alison O'Donnell (Mellow Candle, United Bible Studies), whose otherworldly incantations keep urging the listener to keep on looking for the good in life, very much alike a weird-folk version of Kate Bush's performance in the classic tune 'Don't Give Up' by Peter Gabriel.

2- A Satisfied Mind: According to urban legends, the song was given by aliens to musician Joe “Red“ Hayes as a compensation for burning his arm during an UFO encounter. In 1955, not one, not two, but THREE different versions of the song reached the top 5 in the Billboard Country charts within weeks of each other. Though, unfortunately, Hayes' original 1954 recording has been almost completely forgotten, the song has managed to survive in the collective consciousness for almost seven decades covered by scores of artists, including Bob Dylan (twice!), Joan Baez, Johnny Cash (featured on Kill Bill 2), Willie Nelson (also twice!), Jeff Buckley and The Byrds.

3- It's All Really Messed Up: an electro-pop anti-anthem about mankind's awe and terror in front of admitting its earthbound existence.

4- Squirrel (Song for B.J. Snowden): an animal-inspired folk tune, bearing testimony to the grace, the glory and the glam of the King of the Outsiders. If He gives you one of his precious nuts, it means you will have a prosper and a healthy life and you will never have to work no more. Long live the gatherer of gatherers! Long live the Great Collector!

5- The Dog-Headed Monster And My One True Love: a skeptic's prayer to St. Christopher, the giant patron saint of travelers who, due to the best translation mistake ever recorded, is represented in Orthodox iconography as a Cynocephalus (i.e. a dog-headed person). What better companion for these troubling times than a giant werewolf saint to carry you around life's transitions?

6- Hard On The Heart: at once an ode to the inherent brokenness of love and a lawsuit against modern communication devices like teleprinters. Dangling folk acoustics meet fuzzy electro-pop pathos to get the whole muzziness of this situation across.

The mayor of my little town, I wear my tights behind my gown, they're all strung out A prostitute spreading my legs, giving every guy that begs what you'd expect It's her that I am following, the object of my conquering, I'm getting in The darkest shade of blue is black, the strongest ropes are for the neck, I'm holding back And when armies shoot at your buildings and your screams are all in vain your face will be showing among them, sometimes pleasure causes pain (causes pain) What is my role, what is my game, I'm searching for a tailored frame, one without shame Our fates decided by our deaths, our memories are inside our heads, some wasted threads We are alone, we'll always be a million candles in a scene that no one sees And when horses pull at your body and your screams are all in vain they'll send forces to keep you from bleeding, sometimes hardship has an aim
2.
How many times have you heard someone say "If I had his money, I could do things my way?" But little they know that it's so hard to find One rich man in ten with a satisfied mind Once I was wading in fortune and fame Everything that I dreamed for to get a start in life's game But suddenly it happened, I lost every dime But I'm richer by far with a satisfied mind Money can't buy back your youth when you're old Or a friend when you're lonely, or a love that's grown cold The wealthiest person is a pauper at times Compared to the man with a satisfied mind When life has ended and my time has run out My friends and my loved ones, I'll leave, there's no doubt But there's one thing for certain, when it comes my time I'll leave this old world with a satisfied mind
3.
It's all really messed up have you guessed now? I've fallen from Grace See, I broke the human oath If all men look above I saw the floor and noticed it's the same Man, poor, poor man turns his eyes as summoned by a gaze There's something sniffing near my bed I turn around and stare It jumps at me and wells up on my face Hold me close and see all that burdens me hold me close and see the stoic's jamboree It's all really messed up have you guessed now? I'm falling from the sky The Universal Sigh Time is the substance I am made of Time is the pouring of my silence when I'm alone Time is a buddy that forgets me Time doesn't go by, it's me, I'm rotting off The world, unfortunately, is real And I, unfortunately, am not.

Come around this place and you will find there's many things Cities, hunger, traffic and the sound of marching bands But the wonder awaits in the trees Nibbling away on a nutty feast, in the shades, in the trees Rats, bats, bugs and kangaroos are nothing but a plague Tigers, sharks and crocodiles just wait for your mistakes But the squirrel's untouched in his hole Feeding the family, cos' it's gonna be cold, when the frost is all round And when spring is knocking on the door he's waking up Slowly sticking out is head now, yes he's waking up Running down in a spiral so fast Hunting for nuts, what a blast he has, when he does what he does Come around this place and you will find there's many things In your lonely hours here you can watch the dance of the marvelous one in the pines Leaving no trace of his path behind, when he does what he does And I bet in Canada In Canada (There must be a squirrel in Canada) In Canada In Canada (Got nothing to do with Canada) In Canada I bet they got squirrels, too

Ain't this the show? Ain't this the road we found so insolently slow? And yet we found it Ain't this the show? Ain't this the road we found so carefully, so bold and so astounded? I'm gonna buy you a dog, a good old Saint Christopher to carry you down the road with all those things I missed And I'll watch you go, the dog-headed monster with my one true love, going away again. Ain't this my work? Ain't this our poor old work? An orphan of the storm and we found it. And ain't this enough? Ain't this enough of all the pressure, all the fun that we founded? Deep within, judging by the way it looked, guess you were numb and I was hooked from slipping within all the darkness it ensured buy you will rise and I will too, forgive me, within. I'm gonna buy you a dog, a good old Saint Christopher to carry you down the road with all those things I missed And I'll watch you go, the dog-headed monster with my one true love, going away with my one true love, going away.

Let's get married baby here and now Let us fool ourselves and make a vow Let us watch ourselves grow hard on the heart Let's cry out in pain and drown in shame Lets us blame ourselves for finding someone to blame That's just life and life is hard on the heart The derision you and me enjoy tonight is the reason we'll be kicking in our eyes The computers that we still consult in vain make us think that we like anal sex the same Let's go out to crowd a different bar Let us reach for something that's too far Let us watch the stars get hard on the heart Let's be ignorant to our selves Let us build a house from empty shelves Let us never cross our heart on the heart The derision you and me enjoy tonight is the reason we'll be picking up a fight The computers that we still consult in vain make us think that we like anal sex the same But oh my god Trouble comes Oh my god Trouble comes to us
